As Jason returned with his turkey, I was packing up the Hummer and getting the Ranger loaded up on the trailer. After everything was packed up and the campground was clean, we all got together for some pictures and goodbyes. I was very, very impressed with the Live Oak Outfitters organization and would strongly recommend them to guide your next hunt. They were very professional while at the same time making you feel like part of the family. It will be a weekend I'll cherish for the rest of my life! Live Oak Ranch has been a family owned ranch for one hundred years. It is owned by the Meadows Family. Patrick Meadows currently resides over the ranch and has done an excellent job maintaining it. There are several points of interest located on the ranch, including Fort Lancaster, a famous historical state marker. Patrick’s grandfather donated a hundred acres to the State of Texas for Fort Lancaster. Also located on the land, is the famous Texas shaped rock. Many magazines and other organizations have been out to the ranch to photograph and gaze at this awesome natural wonder. The massive rock easily stands 20 feet high and 20 feet wide, and has amazingly been shaped by water into the state of Texas. Live Oak Outfitters is an organization that excels in helping experienced and inexperienced hunters receive the thrill of hunting good sized Whitetail and Mule Deer, as well as trophy turkeys, and a real life camping experience under the stars. Jason Ashley, Brian Thomas, and Patrick Meadows are the three members of Live Oak Outfitters, who ensure the success of the organization. They serve as guides and aid hunters in finding the best possible game animal or bird. Check out Live Oak Outfitters TexasHuntFish.com Guide Posting Until next time, take care and safe hunting. 2nd Annual trip is less than two weeks away! This year will be even better!
Oh look, a couple of fat, ignorant rednecks killed a slow, helpless bird. Wonderful. It must have been hard to put that beer down to shoot it but your perserverance paid off.
