Texas Big Game Awards Launches New Website

San Antonio – Celebrating sixteen year’s this hunting season, the Texas Big Game Awards (TBGA), a partnership of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) and the Texas Wildlife Association (TWA), continues to be the leader in recognizing the contributions that landowners, land managers and responsible hunters make to managing and conserving wildlife and wildlife habitat on Texas’ private lands. 

The Texas Big Game Awards program is designed to recognize 1) the quality of big game animals in Texas, 2) the hunters who harvest these animals, 3) the land managers who produce these animals through their management efforts, 4) the importance of our hunting heritage, and 5) the achievements of young and new hunters.

Interested in what is being harvested around the state this hunting season in each county?  Need entry information?  Want to learn how to score or age deer?  Then check out the NEW TBGA website this fall at www.TexasBigGameAwards.com.  Coming this October in the “Regional Photo Album” section you will be able to see some great big game being harvested and those photo albums will be updated weekly as entries come in this hunting season. 

This a great way to see some of the best white-tailed deer, mule deer, and pronghorn antelope harvested during this season.  These TBGA Photo Albums display trophies rarely seen from many areas of the state, proving that “Hunting Equals Habitat.”  You can also find links to all the TBGA sponsors and partners, as well as learn more about the two new TBGA categories: Javelina and Desert Bighorns.
