I have scoured the web looking a place to get a thumbhole stock for my 710 30-06. I havent had any luck. It wouldnt really matter to me if it was composite or wood, I just like the feel of the thumbhole stocks. Any ideas? I bought this rifle for a really good price at Academy, and after replacing the crap scope it came with with a Leupold, its a really good rifle. It came with a Bushnell 9x40 that I sighted in and shot two boxes of ammo through and seemed to be ok with about 1.5" groups at 100 yards. took it hog hunting a week later and missed one that was only about 45-50 yards. I saw the shot hit the dirt way in front of him. Later that day we walked off a rough 100 yards and shot at a large peice of plywood and it was all over the place. That had to be the worst scope ever. Now I get consistent 1" groups with Hornady 150gr noslers and im happy with it. I would like to find a thumbhole for it though.
