HAPPY

You can add me to the short timer list.
Counting down to about 17 days before spending 8 days in south Texas fishing at Padre Island and Deer, Nilgai antelope, and Pig hunting some distance away.

Deer Stand

Here are some pictures of the 2008 model home made stand and how I  transport my stuff. Add the sling seat and camo paint and it's ready to hunt from. It has a feature that adjusts the seat from  the erect shooting position to the sleeping position which is lower and you can’t fall out. When you get to be an old Senior it is hard to avoid a nap sometime during the day!! And you sure don't take a chance of getting ticks and such on the ground. The brush is only about 8 feet high where I am hunting.  You put this in amongst the brush and the only thing sticking out is Mr. Ugly’s face covered with a mask and the tip of a Muzzy broadhead. Also will use a Breathe Out breath filter. Did you know that your breath is the most offensive thng to an animal?

Good luck in South Texas. I thought that stand was some kind of modern art! ;-)

Keep yer eyes peeled!

Well Bobby D, there is some modern art involved in that thing. A bit about the trailer: It is half of a child slide with wheel chair wheels on a frame and a special little trailer hitch. It is a fantastic deer hauling cart going through high weeds and such.  If it gets to be too much for the bicycle, you just pull it by hand.  In New Mexico there is a lot of public land the game dept has closed the roads with locked gates and you can take in non-motorized stuff and horses to get where you want to hunt.  Down to 12 days now.. can hardly wait.
