Hi,


I am new to the thread, and am moving to Texas in May. I will be living in the Austin area. I am an avid Turkey hunter and am looking to get into some turkey hunting in the area and have wanted to go out for hog my whole life.

 

I would prefer to not use a guide and find some public areas to hunt, I am from Idaho where I have always hunted public land.

 

Any thoughts for a me would be very appreciated!

there is very little public land to hunt in texas.  where there is public land it will usually be crowded or not real good hunting.  good luck.

the only public land that i know that u could get a good chance at some piggies in in robertson county i think its 607 but dont hold me to it.
