Never hunted there but I have fished the Rio Grande in the park. I have seen a few deer and a lot of javalinas near the river. The country is very rough to hunt in, deep canyons and hard to travel on foot. Not many roads and if you do take a mule deer it is going to be a real workout to get him out. I have seen a few real nice bucks in the area. Lots of luck. Also I do not fish there anymore because the game wardes told me that I was takeing my life in my own hands as the Mexican drug runners in that area were very bad and they have had a number of people shot at and some were hit, so be very carefull.
