Recently me and my hunting partners (brohter in law and son) fished fried some Reds and Specks that had been in the freezer. We started thinking that this year has been the best year for us in the outdoors. We caught lots of fish at different locations, stocked up the freezer with bags of Reds and Specks, then we also had plenty of Wild Boar meat, Deer meat, and game birds. We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to get out at least once a month, even with an extremly busy schedule and enjoy the great outdoors, but it's even better when we can take the spoils from our outdoor adventures and enjoy them as tasty meals for our close friends. This year we have had plenty of fish frys, outdoor cookouts and wild game meals that have been so special. We are not fancy hunters who have huge ranches or have a huge boat to go fishing, we do things the simple way. We hunt on two ranches around 150 acres, and do all our fishing "wade fishing" from the bank. What we do have is a trusty Chevy Z71 that gets us there and brings us home safely. We take good care of all our Rods, Reel, and hunting rifles so that they last. Me and my son both hunt with classic riffles from the 1960's and still look brand new and accurate. We take alot of pride in our outdoor activities and encourage other minorities to get out and do the same. For us it's a family thing, taking the son out, my father in law, uncles, cousins and such. What a great life here in Texas we live, hope this year is just as good or better then last year!!!
