Hog Hunting (LBJ National Grasslands)

I'm in the military and just transferred here. I want to take my son hog hunting. Does anyone know if there are ferel hogs on the LBJ National Grasslands area? Has anyone seen or harvested any hogs out of LBJ? Also, anyone have any info on Squirrels and Rabbits in this area? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Howdy! I don't know much about LBJ National Grasslands; however, I suggest that you give the wildlife biologist there a call about what is available for hunting and the season. Also, there are some Corps of Engineers places around the state that offer hunting.  And look on the Texas Parks and Wildlife website for WMAs to hunt hogs, etc.  Good Luck!  Always, Gene
