Got a call from dad yesterday. Seems that Mr Muller--(former owner Muller Steel buldings) and a friend were hunting on a ranch about 80+/- miles south of the border. They were a number of Mexicans who entered their lodge with AK47's and took them hostage. Ransom of $1,000,000.00 each was demanded and paid. All were assaulted, Some of the lady employees--worse. When the monies was paid, they were released and forced to walk to the nearest town (35+miles) with no food/water. All were alive but in bad shape. Mexico just keeps getting worse and worse!!!!!!!!!

Sweetwater Steel Company is still owned by David and Steve Mueller.  This is an old story and your version is embellished quite a bit which would be uncommon two years after the fact.  The story is too long to go in to but if you research it, you will find that the truth is far from what you stated above.  In fact, the owner of the steel company didn't pay any ransom at all.  The target of that kidnapping was Librado Pina, Owner of Rancho La Barranca. Once you make deals with the devil, it's hard to get rid of the devil.  You can't get involved with those type of people to make a quick buck and then get out.  Obviously they don't let you out too easy.  David Mueller and another hunter from Monterrey were unfortunately caught in the middle.

I totally understand.  I have been hunting Mexico for almost 9 years now.  I have never had one problem.  It's not for everyone.

TOO BAD THAT PEOPLE STILL BELIEVE ALL THOSE INTERNET MYTHS, I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THE SITUATION DOWN HERE IS DIFFICULT BUT IS NOT FAIR TO BLOW THINGS OUT OF PROPORTION.
