I have been hunting in texas for 32 years and pigs can sound mean. The first time I heard a growl it made the hair on the back of my neck stand. (I was 12 years old) Now I just stick them with an arrow. (With plenty of RAGE) P.S don't waste your money on those hog attractants, waste of money. Mix deer corn with some cheap beer in five gallon bucket, let ferment and serve. Happy hunting.

It is amazing the range of noises they can make. A buddy of mine caught a new born and raised it for 7 months. That thing could bark like a yorkie or a doberman. We were back in the woods at dark:30 one time and spooked a group of BIG boars. They took off, and I started squeeling, and they turned around and started coming back. The nioses they were making were incredible. Sounded like a pack of rabid wearwolves.

made my hair stand up too.  They can sound pretty rough when they want too. 

The hog attractant i used is about 3 or 4 years old, and as I said, it has never worked.  I use it now and again mostly to get rid of it. I now use corn with a cup or two of diesel in a 5 gallon bucket.  It does the job just fine.  Earlier this month my son and I got a 260 lb., 225 lb and a 185 lb., all boars.  I might add, it was from my tree stand 135 yds. from the feeder.  I know I could be closer, but the layout in not suited for a closer tree stand and my tent ground stand is retired.  And this is from a retired special forces soldier.
