FORK Water fairly clear; 62–68 degrees; 3.16’ low. Black bass are fair to good on square bill crankbaits, Texas rigs, chatterbaits and drop shot rigs. White bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and green tube jigs. Catfish are slow. Fish kills from toxic golden alga continue in the reservoir. Although golden alga can be found throughout the reservoir currently, the more highly toxic samples analyzed and reported-on were taken from the City Beach area down to the dam. All sport fish species in Granbury are being affected by this kill; however the large majority of dead fish observed this week have been rough fish species. Although this fish kill is ongoing, BRA rangers have reported anglers catching fish in some parts of the reservoir.
