ALAN HENRY  Water lightly stained; 65–69 degrees; 3.04’ low. Black bass are good on white spinnerbaits, Texas rigs and shallow running crankbaits along creek channels and tree lines, and on black/blue soft plastics and jigs worked in trees and brush. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on live bait.

AMISTAD  Water clear; 74 – 77 degrees; 0.29’ high. Black bass are good on topwaters, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, and soft plastics. Striped bass are good on large topwaters and Red Fins. White bass are fair on live minnows, jigging spoons, and small white crankbaits. Crappie are slow. Catfish are good on cheesebait, shrimp, and nightcrawlers in 6 – 15 feet. Yellow catfish are very good on trotlines and droplines baited with live perch. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

ARROWHEAD  Water semi–turbid; 68 degrees; 4.93’ low. Black bass are fair and moving to shallower water. Actively spawning crappie are very good off the dam, state park piers and at the Henrietta and Deer Creek bridges in shallow water on chartreuse jigs or minnows. White bass are good and schooling. Blue catfish are good on cut shad while anchored in 5–20 feet and on juglines.

ATHENS  Water lightly stained; 66–72 degrees; 1.12’ low. Black bass are good on Texas rigged craws, jigs and shallow crankbaits. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. Catfish are good on prepared bait.

BELTON  Water clear; 70 – 72 degrees; 3.47’ low. Black bass are good on spinnerbaits in coves early and late. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and light colored jigs under lights at night. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait, doughbait, and hot dogs. Yellow catfish are fair on live perch and live shad.

BOB SANDLIN  Water stained; 68–74 degrees; 3.66’ low Black bass are good on Texas rigs, jigs and shallow crankbaits. Crappie are good on live minnows. White bass are fair on slabs and Little Georges. Catfish are fair to good on trotlines or juglines with Redneck’s Catfish Bait Soap.

BRAUNIG  Water clear. Black bass are fair on minnows. Striped bass are good on liver and perch, and down rigging spoons near the dam and jetty. Redfish are slow. Channel and blue catfish are very good on shrimp, cheesebait, and cut bait.

BRIDGEPORT  Water lightly stained; 66–72 degrees; 5.17’ low; Black bass are good on Jackall Bling 55 crankbaits, H20 CRS crankbaits and Texas rigged Jackall Sasuteki Craws. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. White bass are good on slabs and live shad. Hybrid striper are fair on live bait. Channel catfish are good on cut and prepared bait on shallow flats.

BROWNWOOD  Water clear; 11.14’ low. Black bass are good on watermelon spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Rat–L–Traps. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on Rat–L–Traps, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Crappie are good on crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and jigs over brush piles. Channel catfish are good over baited holes. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live bait.

BUCHANAN  Water clear; 68 – 72 degrees; 10.95’ low. Black bass are good on shad colored Rat–L–Traps, white Terminator spinnerbaits, and weightless wacky rigged watermelon Whacky Sticks in creeks and pockets in 5 – 15 feet. Striped bass are fair trolling green Curb’s bucktail jigs and drifting live bait through schools of stripers in 25 – 30 feet. White bass are fair trolling Shad Raps along Hog Island, and jigging Pirk Minnows and Tiny Traps above Paradise Point. Crappie are fair on minnows and Curb’s crappie jigs. Channel catfish are good on live bait and cut bait. Yellow and blue catfish are good on juglines and trotlines.

CADDO  Water murky; 66–72 degrees; 0.30’ high. Black bass are good on Texas rigs and topwaters. White bass are fair on Road Runners and minnows. Yellow bass are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.

CALAVERAS  Water clear. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastic worms and crankbaits over reed beds. Striped bass are fair on chartreuse spoons and striper jigs near the dam. Redfish are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are excellent on liver, shrimp, cheesebait, and shad. Blue catfish are good on cut bait and liver near 181 Cove and the railroad bridge. Yellow catfish are slow.

CANYON LAKE  Water clear; 68 – 71 degrees; 3.25’ low. Black bass are good on JDC Skip–N–Pop topwaters and flukes in feeder creeks, and on blue/chartreuse Baby Brush Hogs along deep flats in 10 – 20 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on Road Runners upriver in 5 – 10 feet. Smallmouth bass are fair on 6” smoke/red tubes on jigheads, chartreuse JDC curl tail grubs, and Bleeding Shad Rat–L–Traps along main lake points and ledges in 5 – 15 feet. Crappie are fair on Curb’s crappie jigs and live minnows around submerged brush piles. Channel catfish are fair on stinkbait and shrimp. Yellow and blue catfish are fair on juglines and trotlines in creeks.

CEDAR CREEK  Water stained; 66–74 degrees; 3.17’ low. Black bass are good on Texas rigs and shallow crankbaits. White bass are good throughout day on slabs. Hybrid striper are good on live shad. Crappie are fair to good on minnows with shallow bite improving. Catfish are fair drifting cut shad.

CHOKE CANYON  Water clear; 70 – 73 degrees; 7.33’ low. Black bass are good on watermelon spinnerbaits and Texas rigged soft plastic worms and lizards. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnow tipped jigs. Drum are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on punchbait and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch.

COLEMAN  Water clear; 67 – 70 degrees; 11.99’ low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are fair on grubs. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLETO CREEK  Water fairly clear; 1.52’ low. Black bass are fair on crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and Rat–L–Traps in 8 – 15 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and green tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are fair on perch and shrimp. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch in 12 – 20 feet.

CONROE  Water fairly clear; 68 – 71 degrees; 2.28’ low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin Carolina rigged soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Striped bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and green tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, liver, and cheesebait.

COOPER  Water stained; 66–72 degrees; 6.29’ low; Black bass are good on crankbaits, spinnerbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are good on minnows with movement towards the shallows. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair to good on Sassy Shad and live shad. Catfish are good on prepared bait.

FAIRFIELD  Fishing has been slow since the fish kill in September of 2010. TPWD is currently stocking the lake. Redfish and black bass survived the kill in limited numbers.

FALCON  Water stained; 78 – 82 degrees. Black bass are good on watermelon crankbaits and Carolina rigged soft plastics. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on cut bait and stinkbait in the river. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

FAYETTE  Water clear. Black bass are good on shad colored crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and Carolina rigged soft plastic worms along the outside edges of grass. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and doughbait.

FORK  Water fairly clear; 68–76 degrees; 3.47’ low. Black bass are good on BoHonk Echo Magic bladed jigs, Texas rigs with Jackall Casuteki Craws and watermelon/green pumpkin jigs. A few fish are still on beds with most fish in a post spawn pattern. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on cut shad and prepared bait.

FT. PHANTOM HILL  Water clear; 66–69 degrees; 4.31’ low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on minnows and chrome/blue crankbaits. Catfish are fair on live bait and cut liver.

GIBBONS CREEK  Water clear. Black bass are good on green pumpkin soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait and shrimp.

GRANBURY  Water clear; 68 – 71 degrees; 0.43’ low. Black bass are good on pumpkinseed soft plastics, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are fair on minnows and chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are fair on minnows and chartreuse spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and green tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and liver.

GRANGER  Water murky; 75 – 78 degrees; 0.42’ low. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on yellow marabou jigs tipped with power baits in 6 – 12 feet. Blue catfish are good on prepared bait, shad, and Zote soap. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch.

GRAPEVINE  Water stained; 66–73 degrees; .01’ high. Black bass are good on Texas rigs, jigs, and crankbaits. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut shad.

GREENBELT  Water stained; 68–72 degrees; 0.74’ low; Black bass are good on shad pattern spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, inline spinners and live baits worked over grass lines. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. White bass are good on live bait, white crankbaits and inline spinners. Smallmouth bass are good on live baits and chartreuse/black crankbaits along points with some topwater action. Walleye are good on live bait and white crankbaits. Catfish are good on live bait.

HOUSTON COUNTY  Water clear; 76 – 80 degrees; 0.14’ high. Black bass to 10 pounds are good on pumpkinseed, red, and black/blue craw worms. Crappie are fair on live minnows over brush piles in creek channels. Bream are good on live worms off piers. Channel and blue catfish to 8 pounds are very good on trotlines and juglines baited with shad.

HUBBARD CREEK  65–69 degrees; 10.53’ low. Black bass are good on Texas rigs, chatterbaits and shallow running crankbaits. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs fished shallow. Catfish are good on prepared bait over baited holes.
