Good day!
Actually, it’s a great day! Texas House Bill 716 has passed effortlessly through the House of Representatives as well as through the Senate. Governor Rick Perry signed the bill on June 17 making the bill final!!!
My name is Eric Lewis with Xtreme Hunting Adventures, and I’ll be handling the booking for flights shooting hogs with Cedar Ridge Aviation (formerly Nueces Helicopters). You would be shooting the same areas you’ve seen in all of my YouTube videos (under the username SAEelew). We have, hands down, the largest effective land area to fly as well as the largest number of hogs. It is not at all uncommon to shoot at over 40 hogs in one hour.
The cost for one of these shoots, as I’m sure you’re wondering, is going to be very close to what the farmers were formerly paying. There is a 2 hour per person per day minimum and the cost is $600 per hour. Most of the companies that we’ve talked to are going to charge $1250-$2500 per hour. We believe in the true reasoning behind this bill, and that reasoning is the eradication of these destructive pests. This is why Cedar Ridge Aviation is keeping costs to the shooter as low as possible. You provide your own ammunition. You can bring it, or it will be available for purchase at the lodge.
Also, we have a lodge available that sleeps 20 for $150 per person per night. This includes meals and beverages. Guns are provided on these shoots so you don’t have to worry about traveling with yours. The gun is provided because we have done research and tested many different rigs. We want you to have minimal risk of weapon failure/malfunction. You are allowed to bring your own weapon, but it is subject to pilot's approval and MUST have a brass catcher/deflector. If your personal weapon malfunctions, fixing it is still part of the flight time. If ours malfunctions, repair time is not flight time. Please email me or call me regarding these details. The lodge also gives you an opportunity to combine other hunts with your shoot if you are interested. Tusks and Tines Outfitters offers night vision and standard hog, whitetail deer, turkey, goose and dove hunting. In my opinion, the only hunt as exciting as shooting from the choppers is the night vision hunt. It is a total adrenaline rush to sneak to within 50 yards of these animals in total darkness. I highly recommend combining one of these when you come for your shoot. Pricing is available at www.tusksandtinesoutfitters.com
If you’re interested in booking one of these flights do not hesitate to contact me. My phone number is (940) 268-5FLY, or you can email me at xtremehuntingadventures@gmail.com .
Thanks!
Eric
