I have been meaning to post these pics for a while.... next thing you know it's July.
Sorry for the poor pic quality (I forgot my camera, so I had to make due with my camera phone.)

PS- below is a little write-up I did about the hunt that I sent to my fam and friends back in April
---On Saturday May 06, our Tball game got rained out, so Hunter and I headed to the lease for a Spring Turkey hunt. After about 45 minutes of hunting, I noticed a large flock in a field. We circled around behind them (using a shelter belt as cover) and was able to set up about 200 yards away. I noticed a grand-daddy gobbler to the right of the flock. I hit the box call and got a quick response. "Gobble gobble" lit up the whole lease. Another tom responded from the flock. Both were on their way to claim the hen. I hunkered down and waited. Grand-daddy wasted no time as he made a B-line towards me. Then at about 50 yards he started to move sideways and crossed right in front of me. I knew I needed to take the shot or risk losing sight of him. Bam...bam, two 12 gauge turkey loads fired and he was down for the count. There is nothing like the rush of calling a turkey in.
Once we got back to the 4runner, I noticed some hogs at the far end of the lease. We drove a little closer to them, and then I grabbed the rifle and headed in for a stalk. I marked their spot with trees and used another shelter belt for cover. I climbed to the top of the belt and noticed they had moved further down the field. Still close enough for a shot! I squeezed off on the one that was broad-side. The rest is history.
This was our last trip to this lease. We are moving to a different one next season. It will be twice as close and right by Lake Alan Henry. Hunting and fishing all in one. The place is going to be a great setup, but I'm going to miss this place. We sure had some great hunts and times out here. Hunter also had a blast. He got to play in the dirt, bond with his dad, and learn about the outdoors. As we were turning onto the highway to head home, I noticed big tears in his eyes. He said, "Daddy, I sure am going to miss the deer lease." I assured him there would be lots more trips like this to come. He then smiled and gave me a nod. We hit pavement, the sun disappeared behind the sky-line, and this hunting season quietly ended.---
