I had a decent weekend doing a little bass fishing. A friend and I went out to do some hog hunting this weekend and we also got in a little fishing. In about 3 hours we caught 19 bass and had about 10 more get off of our lines. I have never caught a bass much larger than about 3 pounds, but I caught one this past weekend that was about 5 pounds.

You sound like me, not a big fisherman but it sure is a lot of fun when you get a chance to go. Looks like ya'll caught a mess and had a good time doin' it.

Congrats on a good time and a nice fish -- I am in the same boat: don't fish often enough but enjoy it when I go (and my best bass to date is just under 5 pounds). Hmmm, I think I'll do some fishing real soon . . .

There are a ton of old trees that were left in the lake when the lake was built so anything with an exposed hook gets hung up pretty quick. I find that if I don't use plastic worms that I am constantly loosing my lure and tying a new one on, when I fish out there.
