Most of us are all for taking care of "land wrecking hogs", as you say.  What I think bothers some of us though is the wisdom behind posting pictures full of gore, just because we can, and then wondering whether those pictures will come back to cause us trouble later.

Just an opinion.

There are a lot of guidelines for game photos and this one offends most of them. We all need to be aware that photos like this are ammo for those who would take away our hunting rights.

I don't think anyone is 'freaking out' about the picture, but the point is a good one.  An increasingly urbanized society is fast losing its ability to comprehend, or identify with, what often happens in the death of a wild animal (or even a domestic one for that matter).  That's why organizations like PETA, WWF, and HSUS are gaining such a following, and a bank account. 

Nobody here wants to rain on another hunter's parade as long as what they do is  legal and ethical.  But, like LSDude said we also don't want to give an 'anti' ammunition to help infringe upon our hunting rights either.  Boards like this are exactly where they look too  - I've seen too many video or forum entries to think otherwise.   

I really didn’t mean to offend anyone with this picture? Had no idea it would cause all this talk. I have tried deleting it, and it won’t let me. That’s how a dead hog looks.. It’s not pretty. Guess if I smiled people would think it looked a little more appropriate? Sorry.

thats what a head shot produces, gotta save as much meat as possible!  at least we eat the meat and not dump it like some people do. 

i think the hog head is almost done, its gonna make a great euro mount!
