Also took this extremely smelly boar, estimated about 200 lbs.  He was headed right towards the Axis gut pile when he met his demise.

Brehnen Mitchell 7 yrs old. Shot his first buck 7 pt on Jan. 21, 2007. He had already shot a doe at the time along with a 315 lb boar. Since the buck he has shot another buck and 3 more doe, one this last Thanksgiving. He has provided much meat for his family.

I own 140 acres just south of Rocksprings, TX, and my favorite hobby is running gam cams. I have 7 of them located all over. I like to share the photos taken out of my place, and I hope you will enjoy them too. Great all round ranch with plenty of year round activities. I don't know how this buck managed to get into the hog trap, eat the sour corn inside, and yet get out without tripping the gate, but he did. Unfortunately the myth that deer won't eat sour corn is debunked here. I catch plenty of deer with my traps and open the gate from a distance with the cable you see above the trap. I open the gates from 50 feet away to prevent the deer from harming themselves.
