Summary:
JP and his buddy Jeremy have been bow hunting for about 6 months now and has never harvested an animal. This is a picture of JP and his first hog/first harvest at Dos Plumas Ranch in Trent, Texas. JP and Jeremy learned to skin hogs while they were here and were great guys to have in camp! Awesome job guys! Nice one
Summary: Near Fort Worth. I use a 1/2 ounce black and blue strikeworks jig with a net bait paca chunk in okochobee craw. 20lb stren with a shimano curado and 7 foot falcon rod. The key to these 37 degree morning was just hitting the timber and working the bait slow and working the rattles. Some nailed it some picked it up softly thats where the jig fishing technique comes in sometimes its hard to feel them but you will learn and if the bait feels out of normal just set hard. It could be a twig but your buddy wont be laughing when the next time you do it and its a hog. My two friends who go the most with me im trying to teach them how to jig fish they like to work it fast, but they will catch on patience pays off when its cold.
