Young hunter with Texas wild hog.  Good eatin' and one less tearing up the land.

Me and the 250 lb.+ wild boar I shot last night with my grandfather's .243.  It was the first time that rifle had been fired on an animal in probably 25 years and my first successful time behind a scope instead of a video camera.

No but my land is bottom land and when it rains large amount in a short period of time it floods.  It takes a while to dry out.  I was out there today and there is still water out there.

for all of the people that think this is wrong, You have obviously not felt the extreme damage that these non native animals can cause to a place. They litterally costs me and my family thousands of dollars a year. We constantly hunt and catch them, and there are still more than we can count. If we could have a field day like in that pic we could possibly get an upper hand. These animals are nusiances that tear up land, cattle feeders, and eat feed intended for agriculture purposes.

I am a landowner in Cottle county, and I love the excitment of hunting hogs.  I can remember the days (nights) spent hunting with my grandfather, we'd drive though thousands of acres of land he leased for either farming or running cattle.  Since he has pasted away though the hunt just has'nt been the same. I own 400 acres just 8 or 9 miles south of the Peas river (I think thats the name of it, lol). My question is is whats the best way to get the hogs to come where I want them to and keep them coming.....?

We estimated him between 300-350.  He dropped on the only piece of dry land for 300 yards in any direction.  We hunt with some guys that do a lot of their own meat processing and they usually don't eat wild pigs this big.  May just be a matter of preference.

hog hunter, i offer a lot of hunts on low fence to high fence.(over 200,00 acres of land) and i would give you a free hunt on this ranch to shoot this deer with a bow for three days, and if you cant do it you owe me the fee anyway.  wanna take the CANNED HUNT OR NOT!.  BIG BOY...put your money where your mouth is! ..361-227-7739 ..call me if you have the balls...it aint canned!...val
