Summary: Mark, from Canada, hunted in Russia with me. This is his grizzly boar. It would make the North American B & C book, but not sure where it fits as a Russian bear.

Summary: This Russian coon is similar to ours, but differs in that it is slimmer and the markings are different. The guide, Alexandra's bear dog, caught this one and brought it back alive. When I left they had it in a pen at the lodge.

Summary: These two Russians are butchering a Eurasian Brown Bear aka Grizzly. The bowl contains fat from around the kidneys and is used for medicinal purposes.
I took the bear in a sweet oat field about 18 hours north of Moscow by train and vehicle. The rifle was a Browning A-bolt .325WSM.

Summary: We hunted about 15 hours by train and an additional 3 hours by truck north of Moscow. The area was primarily small villages and the ruins of failed collective farms. This is a scene from the small village next to the hunting lodge. Notice the primitive means of drawing water.
