I am a 35 year old male born on the Gulf Coast of South Texas in a small cotton picking town called "Odem."  I graduated college with a BA from Texas A & M Univerisity-CC and now work as a College Advisor for low income / 1st generation college students in Southwest San Antonio.  My great grandfather was an original King Ranch Cowboy for many years, my grandmother was born / raised on the King Ranch and the husband she married, my grandfather was a cook on the King Ranch.  I believe this family ranch heritage inspired me to remain close to my South Texas ranching roots.  I grew up fishing for Redfish in the Salt Flats of Nueces bay and catching Aligator Gar in the freshwater ponds of the Nueces River Delta.  But, my passion and obsession is Dove Hunting.  I enjoy dove hunting in the Rio Grande Valley and all over South Texas, especially for Whitewings.  I am also a member of a family hunt club that deer hunts in Mathis Texas on a small ranch called the "Pondarosa."  Plus, my dad is a lease member in Benavides TX on "La Mota Ranch" where I enjoy hunting for trophy Wild Boar.  I was introduced to the great outdoors by my father who was an employee of Berry Contracting in Corpus Christi for 15 years and earned the opportunity to take me hunting on the Berry Family ranch in Tilden TX. back in the mid 80's. I have recruited my brother in law and son to be my official hutning / fishing buddies. My goal as a sportsmen is to share my wealth of knowledge and resources to promote outdoor opportunities as a positive way of life and enjoyment.
