this is a very beautiful ranch. The only problem is the ranch manager Clay Pope. Very rude person. Has no idea what he is doing. Had a problem with one of the guides named James.
Blue Mountain Ranch is a top notch Texas Hunting Ranch. Ranch Manager Clay Pope has over 10 years of expierence in the hunting industry. And has a client base and a photo album that speaks for itself!! I dont believe you can get the job taking care of a mulit million dollar operation if you dont know what your doing. The hunting industry is just like every other industry, you cant always please everyone. Some people are just unpleaseable. Being a outfitter is not a easy task, and to be in the buisness for 10 plus years and have countless praising reviews is something you can stand behind and trust. Not every hunter will have the hunt of a lifetime, thats why they call it hunting not killing, but i will promise if you go with Clay you will be taken care of. I have been in the outfitting industry for 7 years ,and I myself dont know of any guide or outfitter that takes care of there clients better then Clay.
I have hunted with Clay Pope for 5 years and never had a bad trip, Clay has always taken great care of our group , it did not make a differance if there was 9 of us or 1 year 14 of us we all had a great time, and great hunting. Clay and his wife Holly have become like a part of the family to our group. In the spring of 2008 myself and my hunting partner invited Clay on a bear hunting trip to Quebec Canada on 1 of only a week or so he takes off on vaction for himself. He is very dedicated to his work as a guide and outfitter. I have used many outfitters over the years in many areas of the country and you will not find many more dedicated to his job and to servicing his customers to make sure they have a great and safe hunt. Keep up the great work Clay
I have hunted with Clay for 5 years and have had a great time. He is very professional and very knowledgeable in what he does. I am returning for a sixth time with my son in october. I would recommend Clay to anyone that wants a great hunt and a successful hunt.
