Bow or rifle?

I can use both rifle and bow doesnt matter to me.Just wanna get some public hunting done, I can't afford the private leases right now.Thanks Eddie

Have you looked at core of engineers land, I know that you can hunt lake of the pines, and there are plenty of hogs out there email me and i will tell you some of the places i hunt when I am around that area. one you have to get to by boat but there are plenty of hogs.

Lake Lavon is a bow only area.  I have hunted out there a few times.  I have only seen one hog, and did not get the chance to draw, but there is plenty of sign, and I plan to put more effort into it this winter.

did you get one of the permits uncleBubba? I thought they didn't draw them until January.

The Lottery permits are for the special shotgun hog season.  You can Bow hunt hogs year round with no permit.

Granger Lake is pretty good. I have a pet hog that's 8 years old now that was caught back there behind the dam while we hog hunted when she was just a pocket sized baby! Now she's 500 lbs of baby. There's some big uns in there! Bow only. I got stuck out there after hours once waiting on my hunting parter and I tell you, the ground moves out there after dark. We've had a few adventures there too. Several other spots in the same area that are public land.

A Family that Hunts together, stays together. (unless they leave me home!)

I have been out to the LBJ Grasslands the past couple weekends looking for turkeys.  Heard about hogs being taken out at the Caddo sites.  Can anyone give e some suggestions as to areas to look for them?
